Note: In the 1858 Chortitza Colony Census he was listed at Neuendorf #107 per the 1858 Chortitza Colony Census data for the Yazykovo Colony settlers. He is not listed in the 1869 Nikolaifeld, Yazykovo Colony Census, suggesting that he moved to Nikolaifeld after 1869. In the 1873 Yazykovo Colony Census he is listed at Nikolaifeld #22. He was a minister in the Yazykovo M. B. Church in Nikolaifeld. He moved to Petrovka, Naumenko Colony in the Kharkov Province in 1888 where he did substitute teaching and where he is listed in the 1897 census at Petovka #13. He also lived briefly in Betshok. In 1901 he moved to Kitchkas in the Orenburg Colony. An extraction of the Chortitza Colony Church Records as found in the German Captured Documents Collection states that he was born 26 Nov 1847. One source says that he was born 26 Feb 1847.
