Enhancement to GMOL Searches
GMOL now makes more extensive searches for names.
When using GMOL, you are already accustomed to searching by entering given names and surnames; it even accommodates
variant spellings of those names.
However, GMOL only searched for the first and last name as found in GRanDMA. Some individuals also record a
Preferred Middle Name, a Nickname, or a changed name.
New changes to GMOL will search for those names as well.

New GRanDMA Database Manager in Development

An entirely new platform for GRanDMA, the GRanDMA Database Manager (GDM), is in development by Tony Isaac.

GRanDMA and GMOL: Part of Mennonite Genealogy, Inc.
Last year, the group responsible for the GRanDMA database took over the name
“Mennonite Genealogy, Inc.”
and incorporated as a non-profit in California with its own
Board of Directors.
MGI’s purview includes GRanDMA,
GRanDMA Grants,
GMOL,
Mennonite Genealogical Resources,
Mennonite DNA,
and the GDM (GRanDMA Database Manager).
These organizational changes won’t affect your use of GRanDMA or GMOL. You might also like to explore the other MGI projects.
