Notes:

  • Emigration note: applied to emigrate

  • Note: He was listing in Rehhof, Prussia at the time of his baptism in 1801. They applied for emigration in 1804 but did not do so. He was a "Kuhpaechter" [rented dairy cattle for cheese making] in the Langnau estates near Freystadt. He and his family migrated from "Schemgauber" (Schweingrube?), Prussia to Russia in 1810 (P. Rempel, p. 102). The 1814 Molotschna records indicate he was living at Lindenau #9 at that time. The 1835 Molotschna Census entry for Lindenau #29 says he came to Russia in 1810 and moved from Lindenau to Schoenwiese, Chortitza Colony in 1823. The 1835 Molotschna Census entry for Rudnerweide #43 states that he moved from Schoenwiese to Rudnerweide in 1826, and then moved to Pastwa in 1828. His family is listed in the 1835 Molotschna Census at Pastwa #17. The census entry states he moved to Past wa from Rudnerweide in 1828 and that he died in 1827. He apparently died in Rudnerweide and his family moved to Pastwa after his death.
