Note: He is called "Goertz" in the Buhler church records and in the Mennonitische Rundschau obituary. The 1835 Molotschna Census says he is 1 year old at that time, but family records give the exact birth date, indicating he was actually 2. His wife's obituary indicates they had four children altogether, with only one surviving his wife.
