Notes:

  • Note: The Odyssey of Escapes from Russia by Wilmer Harms, p. 179, states she was born 1 Dec 1888, which is apparently incorrect. Her tombstone says she was born 1 Dec 1883.

  • Note: Jakob and Justina moved to Omsk, Siberia, in 1910. In 1930 they fled with their children to the Amur Region. Jakob died of pneumonia before he could cross over, so Justina and children crossed over the border to China the night of Dec 16/17 then to the Chaco, Paraguay. Jacob and Justina had 7 children of whom 1 died in the Omsk Region.

  • Note: Justina and 6 children departed Harbin, China on 22 Feb 1932 and Shanghai, China on 27 Feb 1932 under passport #73, enroute to Paraguay.
