Search by Source Number or Source Title Text

Searching for information by knowing the Source is of interest to researchers.

The sources that are listed in the Individual Profile page and elsewhere are indexed. With the Source Search, you can search for the source itself in two ways:
  • You can enter the number of the source at the top of the left column (but most of the time you probably don't know the number.)
  • You can enter some text from the name of the source and get a list of possible matches.
Input area for the Source Search.
If you enter a number and click "Show", a description of the source as found in GRanDMA and a list of the individuals who reference that source will be displayed.

If you need to find the Source Number, enter any part of the name of that source and select from the results.

Note: At this time, a search that also retrieves the families that may be referenced by a source has not been implemented.
