Help for the Migration Report

The GRanDMA database records migrations where available. Where they took place by ship, the names of the ships and ports of entry are often included. In GRanDMA, only migrations between countries are included.

The majority of the recorded migrations fall into two categories:

From Prussia to South Russia in the late 1700s and early-to-mid 1800s.
From South Russian and Prussia to the Americas beginning in the 1870s.

A visual timeline can also be produced. It delineates the generations by color.
