Help for GeDCom Export

The GMOL export page extracts a limited part of the GRanDMA database that you can store on your computer as a "GeDCom" file.

A GeDCom (Genealogical Data Communication) file has a standard format for interchange between geanealogy database systems, so it can be taken to most other genealogy programs and imported into those databases.

The output GeDCom file that is produced by GMOL inclues information on:

the individual and the individual's children;
all the direct ancestry of that individual;
the children of those ancestors.
