Help for the Bookmarks and History functions in Individual Searches

GMOL provides a handy way of quickly recalling individuals whose Individual Profiles were opened earlier:

A Bookmarks list contains individuals who the user chose to save;
the Session History contains the most recent individuals whose profiles were displayed.

Bookmarks When viewing an Individual Profile, use the "Add to Bookmarks" link (upper-right area of the page) to save a bookmark for that individual. That bookmark is saved on the grandmaonline.org server. The most recent dozen or so saved bookmarks will be displayed, and will be available to you, even if you switch computers. These can be quite useful for returning to individual studies.

Clicking on the individual name in the Bookmark page will bring up that Individual Profile without requiring a search.

Clicking on the

icon will delete that entry from the bookmark list.

History The "Session History" column displays the most recent 15 individuals for whom Individual Profiles have been viewed. This list is saved in a cookie, not on the server, but on your computer. The list will be available for about a month from the last use.

These bookmarks will also be available for Relationship Searches and for documenting images.
